Literature review on steel fibre, silica fume and fly ash: improving methods for recycled and multiple recycled aggregate concretes

چکیده
If all concrete is to be recycled in a future scenario, will needed. Usually recycling causes loss of properties, but this does not have truth for the mixtures. This paper shows comprehensive knowledge about improving methods used keep properties aggregate (RAC). In reviewed literature several kinds RAC were tested with various replacement ratios. The effect adding steel fibres, silica fume or fly ash mixture also examined both separately and together. Most experiments demonstrated excellent mechanical compared ordinary concretes. Based on these results ideal composition can deduced imagined when multiple times (MRAC).

Experimental Research on the Wettability of Recycled Aggregate Concrete with Fly Ash
Material adsorption, the reverse process of evaporation diffusion, directly reflects the wettability of materials. Wettability is one of the main factors that affect the drying shrinkage of materials. A device that measures the wettability of recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) with fly ash is proposed in this study based on pore structure theory. The isothermal absorption curve of RAC is examine...
متن کاملCorrosion Behavior of Steel Reinforcement in Concrete with Recycled Aggregates, Fly Ash and Spent Cracking Catalyst
The main strategy to reduce the environmental impact of the concrete industry is to reuse the waste materials. This research has considered the combination of cement replacement by industrial by-products, and natural coarse aggregate substitution by recycled aggregate. The aim is to evaluate the behavior of concretes with a reduced impact on the environment by replacing a 50% of cement by indus...
متن کاملEffect of Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) on Blended Cement (Fly Ash based) and Silica Fume Blended Cement and their Concretes
This paper presents the effect of Hydrochloric acid (HCl) on Blended Cement (Fly ash based(BC)) and Silica Fume Blended Cement(SFBC) and their concretes. The BC and SFBC and their concretes BCC and SFBCC produced with HCl dosage of 100, 150, 300, 500 and 900 mg/l added in deionised water. In addition to this control specimens were prepared with deionised water (without HCl) for comparison. The ...
متن کاملMixture Proportioning Options for Improving High Volume Fly Ash Concretes
High volume fly ash (HVFA) concretes are one component of creating a more sustainable infrastructure. By replacing 50 % or more of the Portland cement with fly ash, a significant reduction is achieved in the carbon footprint of the in place concrete. While HVFA mixtures can be proportioned to produce equivalent long term performance as conventional (cement-only) mixtures, performance problems a...
متن کاملAssessing relationships among properties of demolished concrete, recycled aggregate and recycled aggregate concrete using regression analysis.
Recycled demolished concrete (DC) as recycled aggregate (RA) and recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) is generally suitable for most construction applications. Low-grade applications, including sub-base and roadwork, have been implemented in many countries; however, higher-grade activities are rarely considered. This paper examines relationships among DC characteristics, properties of their RA and...
